June, 2010 Meeting Minutes

Mike Williamson opened the meeting and welcomed coach Hospelhorn from Amelia high School.  
Coach Hospelhorn spoke to the group AYAC members about the upcoming season and encouraged 
them to also become involved in the Amelia Boosters.

Minutes for May were read and approved

Treasurer report was read by Greg Bingham and approved

Fundraising report was given by Laura Naegele

      Raffle tickets are in and sorted; they are to go on sale August 30-September 20.  Each 
child is to sell 35 tickets.  There are prizes for each player and cheerleader that sells the 
most tickets as well as a pizza party for the team and squad.

      BW3 cards will be in when practices begin and are valid at the Milford location.

      Walkathon has been changed to the High school.  Each child is expected to raise $25.  
The theme is “Opening Day” . There are prizes for the player/cheerleader who raises the most 
pledges as well as a pizza party for the team/squad.

      Luau tickets are on sale now.  Tickets are $20 each; door prize is free registration for 
the entire family.  Teams need to contact Laura with their basket themes; each team is responsible 
for a $100 sponsorship and $100 basket.

      96 signed up to date

      8 and 9 squads are combining

      11/12 will be coached by Lisa Santarelli

      62 are registered for camp and they will a football clinic on Wednesday to educate the girls 
about the game.

      Cheerleaders will be running the grill this year at home games

Football report was given by Mike Williamson

      Randy Hospelhorn bought the gator

      $2500 was spent on the golf cart

      $2500 was put back into the organization

      We will use truck or trailor to haul garbage

      Jim Branham will coach the 8A team

      Mike Steinker will coach the 10A team

      Mike Belperio will handle equipment; handouts July 18th $25 deposit due

      Mandatory CCYFL coaches meeting July 25th 1pm, Batavia twp. Park

      Practice area; stay in front of high school

      Teams requesting to go Paul Brown Bowl:

      7B, 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B, 10A, 11/12A

      Weigh ins August 14-15 at Goshen High School

Basketball report-

      No report

New Business-

      7th and 8th grade football conditioning may affect practice times for some teams.
