Welcome to the 2011 Amelia Youth Athletic Club Football Season!!

Criminal Background Check:
The criminal background checks will be done online and it will cost you $10 to complete, which will need to be done by the beginning of the first practice or you will not be allowed to be on the field with the players. We are only looking for crimes associated with violence such as domestic violence, child abuse, or sex assault. You will not be allowed to coach if you have any of these charges on your record. The background checks usually come back within 2-3 days so you have plenty of time to complete the process.

National Alliance for Youth Organization:
The NAYS can also be taken or renewed online. The process takes about 30 minutes and you will only need to pay $20 each year to renew the certification. All coaches will be asked to show their NAYS card at league weigh-ins on August 13th and 14th, so I would get started on the course, which only takes about 30 minutes.

Coaching Responsibilities and Expectation:

2. Ensure that your coaches participates in work details, functions, fundraisers as directed by the Organization.

3. Be responsible for all monies for your team or fundraisers. It is important that you work closely with you Team Moms to ensure fund raising money is collected and documented.

4. Assist with your teams’ equipment handout and collection at the end of the season. NOTE: All Team Fund-Raisers must be pre-approved by the VP of AYAC (Rex Stewart) and all of the money must be submit to the AYAC Treasurer, Andy Lane.

5. Required to attend at least 6 of 12 monthly meetings and at least 2 field details as directed by the VP of Football.
